### + How does the booking process work?
Welcome! If you are interested in booking a photo session or simply looking for more information, you can submit your interest through the contact page. You will receive a response within 1-3 business days and from there the booking process will begin.
+ Do I sign a contract?
Yes. Upon booking you will be sent a contract. The contract is simply to ensure that everyone is in agreement about the services provided. The contract will outline the date, time, and cost of the session, as well as the image copyright and licensing agreement.
+ Is there a deposit or retainer fee upon booking?
Yes. Once your contract is signed, a 50% non-refundable retainer fee will be collected. This fee reserves your date and prevents me from taking any other contracts. For this reason, the retainer is non-refundable. The remaining 50% of the fee is due on the day of the photo session. You will have the option to securely pay by credit card. Cash, cheque, and email money transfers are also accepted.
+ How do I access the photos?
Your photos will be emailed to you in an online gallery. You will have the option to download single photos or download all your photos in one go. The link doesn’t expire, however it’s highly recommended that you download all of your photos and save the hard copies onto a few separate hard drives. The gallery link can be shared with family, friends and colleagues.
+ How long does it take to receive my photos after the shoot?
Your gallery of photos will be delivered to you within 4-6 weeks of the photo session.
+ How do I choose the shoot location?
One of the most important decisions for your photo session is the location as it literally sets the backdrop for your images. Oftentimes clients already have a specific location in mind, but if not, I have a lot of beautiful locations and ideas to share. A big thing to consider is the time of year and weather forecast which will influence the lighting and overall vibe of the images.
+ What should I wear to the shoot?
The most important thing to think about is comfort. And by comfort I don’t mean sweatpants - I mean wearing something that makes you feel confident! If your jeans feel too tight or your shirt sleeves keep falling down, you will likely feel distracted during the photo session. I always recommend choosing a fun outfit that showcases your personal style.
+ Do I get the RAW files?
All photos will be custom edited in a manner that consistently reflects my photography style. For this reason, only edited JPEG and TIFF files will be available.
+ Who owns the copyright to the images?
Zoya Lynch Photography will own the copyright of your images, even after they have been delivered to you. Branding and commercial photography sessions come with a specific Commercial Use License that permits you to use the images across all your business's marketing platforms. The images can never be sold or licensed to a Third Party in accordance with the Copyright Act of Canada c. C-42.
+ What if I can’t make it to the session?
Please note, the retainer fee remains non-refundable. However, if you provide at least 48 hours notice of your need to cancel, your retainer fee will be credited toward another photo session. If you do not cancel within at least 48 hours notice, you will lose any payments you have already made.
+ What about travel?
Photo session prices reflect photoshoots in Revelstoke, BC. Photo sessions outside of Revelstoke will be subject to a custom travel fee. Standard fees include mileage: $0.59 cents per KM, accommodation, and a food per diem.
+ Are you insured?
Yes. I have commercial liability insurance as well as insurance on all of my photography gear.
